Knabstrupper Hobby Horse

The Knabstrupper comes from Denmark and is impossible to mistake for anything else. Its spotted coat, from a few dark flecks to a full leopard pattern, makes every horse a one-off. Behind the flashy looks sits a calm, willing character, which is why Knabstruppers have always been as much at home in the circus ring as in the dressage arena.

Hobby Horse Knabstruppers are painted by hand, so no two coats come out the same. Simple tack suits them best and lets the spots do the talking: a plain bridle and a single colour ear bonnet or blanket that picks up one shade from the coat.
